Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world through the cuisine she creates. She developed a curiousity about food and cooking after moving from suburbs of Long Island to the diverse culture in Los Angeles. Cavatelli and carnetas, she believes, can exist together on the exact same menu. Her sensibility is always developing. The only thing that remains is her unique view of the future, while looking back to the old. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso, who is inspired from her Italian American heritage. The restaurant was greeted with the warmest welcome. The restaurant's version of traditional Italian food is among the most sought-after restaurants in Los Angeles. Food at Lofaso is authentic, inviting and undeniably satisfying. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to learn their refined methods. But she didn't hesitate making bold choices to honour her instincts. In a short time her career, she was at the top at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Later she worked alongside many celebrities, and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. She was able to secure a place in Black Market as well as her partnerships. Lofaso could find the space to be creative that she longed for through this partnership. Black Market has no one idea in its head and that's the way it goes. It could begin with potato chips dill and shishito peppers, followed by an ice cream roll Korean wings and a variety of meatballs. Antonia, the chef who created this delicious menu full of vibrant flavors, anchors the whole. Lofaso measured her professional success by her capacity to both understand and be real to her viewers. Her memorable performance of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars celebrated her distinctiveness in the kitchen and her talents are still shining in front of the camera, as a panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and recurring role on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso released The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Simple and Delicious Recipes, in 2012, with Penguin. The book also tells the story of her challenges while she studied at The French Culinary Institute. She had a daughter, Xea, as well. Lofaso believes that the main inspiration behind all of Lofaso's achievements is her kitchen. In this way, she keeps a steady finger on pulse. Chefletics changes the way we look at cookwear by focusing on design and function. Lofaso believes that sticking to your vision is important. To achieve her goal, she founded Antonia Lofaso Catering. It allows customers to enjoy an unrivalled service.
