Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer best known for the roles she played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer as well as an American actress active in theatre, television and film. She began acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and TV series. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just critical acclaim but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She began her career as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her work in Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. The role she played as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
